Delicious sweet rolls filled with cream cheese and a hint of strawberry flavor, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons strawberry or raspberry powder
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon strawberry or raspberry powder (for glaze)
Instructions
- Warm the milk until just above room temperature and stir in the sugar and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and strawberry powder. Add yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter. Knead until dough is smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 to 1 hours.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Roll dough into a log and slice into rolls. Place in greased baking dish. Let rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and berry powder until smooth. Spread glaze over warm rolls.
Notes
- These rolls are best served warm.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
