This slow cooker honey garlic chicken is an easy and flavorful meal. Perfect for busy days!

- 1 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup gluten-free soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, gluten-free soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- In the last 30 minutes, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Once done, serve over rice, quinoa, or vegetables.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a side salad.
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce overnight before cooking.
