Description

Ingredients

  • 1 medium green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cups vegetable broth or water

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by chopping the cabbage and dicing the onions and garlic.
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground meat to the pot; cook until browned while breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste until well combined with the meat mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped cabbage and canned tomatoes, allowing them to mix into the stew.
  6. Pour vegetable broth over the mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and adjust flavors as needed before serving.
