Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 16 oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup very well-drained crushed pineapple, 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup sliced green onions, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour to firm up.
  3. Transfer the chilled mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into one large ball.
  4. Spread 1 cup finely chopped pecans on a plate and roll the cheese ball over the pecans, pressing gently so they fully coat the surface.
